IN-ROOM BROADBAND SOLUTIONS

Since 1998, inter-touch has partnered with many prestigious hotels and management companies such as Accor, Boscolo Hotels, Four Seasons, Hilton Hotels, Hyatt International, InterContinental Hotels, Le Meridien, Marriott, Pan Pacific, Shangri-La, Sheraton and Thistle Hotels to implement in-room broadband solutions specially catered for hotel guests.

inter-touch is dedicated to continuously producing technologically enhanced communication solutions for our customers. Thus, our Technology and Innovation team collaborates with our parent company NTT DoCoMo for significant research capabilities. Our core platform allows hotels to deploy DVoD, VoIP and other advanced services.

IN-ROOM BROADBAND - WIRED AND WIRELESS ACCESS CHANNELS

With inter-touch's in-room broadband internet services, guests are provided with 4 types of wired and wireless access channels:

  • Connections within a hotel guest room
  • Connections in public areas within a hotel using a pre-paid card system
  • Connections with in-building roaming via credit card billing
  • Connections and other supporting options suitable for the requirements of Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE)

PLUG'N'PLAY BROADBAND CONNECTIVITY

The log-on process is a simple, three-step "plug 'n' play" operation that does not require users to install any additional software or hardware. All the user needs is a laptop connected to the network cable located in the room, or connected to the wireless network for hotels with this facility.

SECURE BROADBAND CONNECTIONS

As connections are secure, users are also able to utilise a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to connect to their company intranet. Our solution creates the following benefits for our hotel customers:

  • Increases room rates for hotels through perceived increase in value
  • Provides hotels with a strong differentiation factor
  • Increases customer brand loyalty
  • Generates an alternate revenue stream for hotels
  • Improves guest satisfaction levels

WIRED / WIRELESS ROAMING SOLUTION

The need for a seamless internet access experience amongst business travellers regardless of their connection methods has inspired inter-touch to develop our Wired / Wireless Roaming Solution. With this, guests are assigned a username and password with which they use to log on to the inter-touch network, wherever they may be in a meeting room, lobby or in their own rooms.

This feature enhances the mobility of hotel guests as they can now access the hotel wireless network without the need for pre-paid cards or other subscriber information. Benefits to hotel guests include:

  • Seamless transition between wired and wireless internet access methods
  • Purchase of pre-paid cards for wireless access is no longer required
  • Enhanced mobility for hotel guests means increased effectiveness and convenience
  • Internet access usage is integrated into the hotel's Property Management Systems (PMS) and consolidated into one hotel bill for guests

INCREASED REVENUE - NO PREPAID CARDS

Seamless use tends to increase revenue, as guests' broadband usage will not need to continuously break through the need to purchase pre-paid cards once their usage value has been exhausted. Value added services like these become key differentiators in market positioning, contributing to making these hotels a preferred choice among business travellers

Our solutions are incorporated with a host of support services available to our partners including on-site maintenance, 24/7 Global Operations Centre, integration with different PMS systems, as well as tiered service level agreements.
