Accor says it has completed installation of wireless, high-speed internet access in its Motel 6 and Studio 6 properties across North America.
Accor contracted with AT&T to provide managed network services and teamed with Teledex to provide Wi-Fi equipment and support to more than 600 Motel 6 and Studio 6 corporate properties nationwide.
In addition to the corporate properties, almost 200 franchise properties have also made Wi-Fi available to guests.
Under terms of the $9m, three-year agreement, AT&T will provide Managed Internet Service (MIS) and router implementation services.
MIS provides high-speed dedicated access with world-class reliability, optimal performance, scalability and security features.
The AT&T network is highly scalable, offering Accor NA the flexibility to customise its network services to expand when levels of higher bandwidth are required.
