Taj Unveils Brand Architecture

04 February 2010

Taj Hotels, Resorts and Palaces has unveiled its new brand architecture, which it plans to roll out across all its hotels to strengthen its existing portfolio.

The Mumbai-based hotel company comprises the Indian Hotels Company and its subsidiaries, which have more than 75 hotels across the world.

In total, the hotel group is composed of six different brands, but under the new architecture there will be a more focused offering of four chains, hotelnewsnow.com reports.

These include the Taj Luxury Hotels, the Vivanta by Taj boutique collection, Gateway Hotel's upscale and midscale hotels and Ginger, the economy brand.

There are 12 hotels in the construction pipeline, which include two luxury properties: the Taj Cape Town (South Africa) and the Taj Falaknuma Palace, Hyderabad.

It will also reopen the renovated palace wing at the Taj Mahal Palace & Tower in Mumbai, India, which was under siege during the 2008 terrorist bombing.
