Logistics service provider Kuehne + Nagel has been awarded a contract by Las Vegas Sands Corporation for Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort in Singapore.
The service provider is expected to manage the warehousing, delivery-to-site and installation activities of the resort's rooms and suites.
Featuring three 55-storey towers, the resort is connected via the Sands SkyPark bridge and comprises 2,500 rooms and suites.
The resort also comprises two theatres, casino, museum, retail spaces and restaurants, as well as the 1.3 million square foot Sands Expo and Convention Center, which can accommodate 45,000 guests.
Under the agreement, Kuehne + Nagel Hotel Logistics division will provide on-time delivery and installation of all furniture for the property.
Kuehne + Nagel Global Hotel Logistics vice president Achim Glass said the division had brought together some of its best FF&E experts from teams in the US, Europe and Asia to take over the warehousing and critical last-mile delivery for this historic hotel opening project.
