Armani Hotel Opening Delayed

10 March 2010

The anticipated opening of the Armani Hotel in Dubai's Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building, has been delayed by more than a month to 22 April this year.

Owner Giorgio Armani planned to open the hotel on 18 March.

Neither the hotel management nor the developer, Emaar, made any comment about the delay.

Featuring 160 rooms and 150 Armani Residences, the luxury hotel will occupy the levels between the concourse and the eighth floor, and levels 38 and 39 of the 828m tower.

The Armani Residences will be handed to residents before the hotel opens to the public on 24 April, according to thenational.ae.

The hotel's amenities include a nightclub, shops and several restaurants.

The tower has been plagued by maintenance problems, including the observation deck on the 124th floor, which was closed last month and is yet to reopen.
