Global hospitality and travel company Carlson has launched the Radisson Hotel Chatsworth in West San Fernando Valley in Southern California, US.
According to Carlson, the hotel is a significant step forward in the company's Ambition 2015 strategy to expand Radisson as a globally consistent brand.
The strategy entails an investment programme of up to $1.5bn in North America to establish flagship hotels in key US cities and upgrade the portfolio.
The 148-room Radisson Hotel Chatsworth is rejoining the brand and beginning a $3m renovation throughout 2012 to upgrade all its guestrooms and suites, as well as public areas.
The hotel offers an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness centre and meeting space for up to 240 people.
Accommodation includes junior or executive suites and deluxe guestrooms, with complimentary wireless high-speed internet access.
Radisson Hotel Chatsworth's Hot Tomato restaurant and lounge is an Italian American-style restaurant, which is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Carlson Hotels Americas president Thorsten Kirschke said the new offerings, along with its Yes I Can! service philosophy and global hotel loyalty programme Club Carlson, showcase the enhanced guest experience at Radisson.
So far, over $500m has been committed to the Radisson strategy in North America and nearly 96% of the existing portfolio in North America has property improvement plans in place.
Carlson encompasses 1,070 hotels under the Radisson, Country Inns & Suites By Carlson, Park Inn by Radisson and Park Plaza brands.
