Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has collaborated with Rockwood Hotels & Resorts to open the Radisson Blu Udaipur Palace Resort & Spa in India.

The new hotel, which was formerly known as the Sheraton Udaipur Palace Resort & Spa, is expected to launch in May 2014 and will be the first Radisson Blu property in Udaipur.

Located on the banks of Fateh Sagar Lake in Ambamata, the hotel is close to the city centre as well as tourist attractions such as the City Palace, Udaipur Lake Palace and the shopping districts of Hathi Pol, Bada Bazaar, Chetak Circle and Palace Road.

Radisson Blu Udaipur Palace Resort & Spa will have 240 rooms, recreational facilities such as an outdoor swimming pool offering views of the Sajjangarh Fort and Aravali Hill, a lawn tennis court, a spa and a fitness centre.

The hotel will also feature 544m² of meeting space including a pillar-less ballroom with the capacity to accommodate around 450 people, while dining options will include an all-day dining restaurant, a speciality restaurant, a lobby bar and lounge along with a poolside bar.
