Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group will launch its first hotel on the island of Crete in Greece under the Radisson Blu brand after renovations are completed on an existing property in the second quarter of 2016.

The Radisson Blu Beach Resort, Crete Milatos will be opened in collaboration with the Geniatakis family, which originally opened the resort in 2002.

Situated on the east of the island, the hotel offers a 180° sea view, and is surrounded by fishing villages.

Radisson Blu Beach Resort, Crete Milatos will have 318 spacious rooms and suites, many featuring balconies or terraces, with Radisson Blu signature services including free high-speed internet access.

Rezidor president and CEO Wolfgang Neumann said the company is delighted to arrive in Crete and looks forward to its future cooperation with the Geniatakis family.
