The 403-room Embassy Suites Downtown Denver/Convention Center hotel in Denver, Colorado, US, has been awarded Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Silver certification from the US Green Building Council for its energy conservation efforts.
The hotel installed Telkonet’s SmartEnergy system, which uses sensor detection to reduce the time spent cooling or heating unoccupied guestrooms, thereby reducing a building’s carbon footprint and minimising energy consumption.
