14 September 2012

Hilton Worldwide has announced that it will open the Hilton Garden Inn Tabuk, in the Tabuk province in Saudi Arabia, in 2013. It will be the second Hilton Garden Inn and the 15th pipeline hotel of Hilton Worldwide in the kingdom.

The company has recently signed a management agreement with the owners of the property, Adex Contracting Maintenance & Operations.

Hilton Worldwide Middle East and Africa president Rudi Jagersbacher said: "KSA presents promising development opportunities for us. Today's signing is key as we enter another new Saudi city and embed our expansion strategy to provide quality services and products to the market. As Tabuk's prominence as a commercial centre grows, we are inspired to grow with it."

"I'm delighted we can continue serving this market and am confident this new hotel will be a popular choice for the local community, as well as business and leisure visitors to Tabuk."

The city of Tabuk is a religious stop-over for pilgrims travelling from Jordan, Turkey and Lebanon to Makkah and Medinah in Saudi Arabia.

The 110-room Hilton Garden Inn Tabuk will include ten suites.

It will have a fitness centre, swimming pool, a restaurant and lobby lounge in addition to a boardroom, two meeting rooms and a business centre.

Hilton plans to add 9,300 rooms in the country by opening 15 new hotels in the next three years. It currently operates six.

Hilton Garden Inn global head Adrian Kurre said: "Hilton Garden Inn has had great success and has been well received in the KSA market since opening the Hilton Garden Inn in Riyadh in 2009.

"I'm delighted we can continue serving this market and am confident this new hotel will be a popular choice for the local community, as well as business and leisure visitors to Tabuk."
