Hotel development and management company Kana Hotel Group, which is based in Knoxville, Tennessee, US, has added seven management contracts to its portfolio.
The mainly select-service hotels are in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Mississippi and Tennessee, and most of them come under the Hilton family of brands.
The group also added properties from the InterContinental Hotels Group and is breaking ground on a new Hampton Inn in Clinton, Tennessee, and a Springhill Suites by Marriott in Huntsville, which will open in 2012.
Kana also plans to break ground on several other Hilton and Marriott projects to be announced later this year.
