Shangri-La Asia is to launch a new hotel in Yingkou, China, which will bring the company’s total number of hotels in the region to eight.

The new 400-room Shangri-La Hotel, Yingkou will open in 2015 and join the group’s growing portfolio of properties in Changchun, Dalian, Harbin and Shenyang.

The hotel will offer a 1,500m2 ballroom, a 1,000m2 multifunction space, a health club with indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a spa and a 1,400m² family entertainment centre.

Hong Kong-based Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts owns and/or manages 72 hotels under the Shangri-La, Kerry and Traders brands, with a room inventory of over 30,000.
