The new 14-storey Loden Hotel in Vancouver has been constructed in an ideal position to give it the best tourist and business trade in the city. The hotel is on the edge of Coal Harbour in a waterfront position in a luxury neighbourhood of downtown Vancouver with mountains and waterways in the background.

The hotel is near all amenities such as shopping in the Pacific Centre – Holt Renfrew and the boutique shops at Robson Burrard Streets. It is also not far from the downtown business and financial districts of the city. The 77-room contemporary luxury hotel was opened for business in late 2007.

The hotel was developed by Amacom of Canada and Kor Hotel Group of Los Angeles. Kor Group operates and manages the hotel. The hotel interior design was by San Francisco-based Babey Moulton Jue & Booth. The hotel itself was designed by Hewitt & Kwasnicky.

GUEST ROOMS

There are 77 guest rooms – including seven suites – decorated in caramel, coral and chocolate brown decor.

The accommodation includes: Deluxe Two Doubles (350ft²) with floor-to-ceiling windows, custom beds with duvets, private bar, 42in LCD TV/DVD and cable, music and video games, four-fixture bathrooms with natural light and heated floor; Deluxe King (350ft²+); Penthouse Suite (1,600ft²) with two bedrooms (each with own luxurious spa bathroom), lounge areas and flexible
multi-level in-room technology connectivity; One Bedroom Suite (350ft²+).

AMENITIES

The hotel restaurant and bar at the lobby level is called Voya (derived from voyage). This produces a range of West Coast cuisine, offering breakfast lunch and dinner, and serves drinks and cocktails 24 hours a day.

The 80-seat restaurant and 50-seat lounge is led by Executive Chef Marc-André Choquette and also offers a private dining room with seating for 18 and a street-side lounge.

The decor of the restaurant gives an ice-blue room centre-lit by three sparkling crystal chandeliers with chocolate upholstery, patterned screens, oversized mirrors and sleek white lacquered tables. There is wireless and wired high-speed internet access in all of the guestrooms and public spaces.

The Spa at Loden Vancouver offers the full range of services including sauna, steam room, massages, facials and a fitness studio/centre. There is also a full business centre with secretarial/translation services, computers and laser printing and meeting space.
