In April 2007 the Fairmont Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten, Hamburg, opened as the first Fairmont hotel in Europe.
Founded in 1897, the original eleven room hotel has served guests for over 100 years. Located on the western side of the Inner Alster Lake, the ‘new’ Fairmont hotel features 157 rooms and suites (127 rooms and 30 suites), four restaurants, two bars, a spa and fitness facility and approximately 6,700ft² of function space. The public areas and lounges are furnished with a collection of 16th and 17th century Flemish Gobelin tapestries, baroque cupboards and Renaissance chests.

RESTAURANTS AND BARS
The Haerlin Restaurant, which is named after the original owner Richard Haerlin, serves classical and modern cuisine; it has 17 Gault Millau points and one Michelin star.
The Jahreszeiten Grill is decorated in the eclectic art deco style of the 1920s and offers the experience of traditional Hanseatic dining. The Jahreszeiten Terrace provides outdoor seating for 80 guests. The Jahreszeiten Bar is located just next to the hotel’s entrance and is spread over two storeys.
Doc Cheng’s offers European-Asian fusion cuisine and has 15 Gault Millau points. An integrated bar serves 36 international beers as well as exotic cocktails.
Café Condi is decorated in the Biedermeier style and is popular for its rich Jahreszeiten breakfast, typical coffee house specialities as well as its light lunch fare.
The hotel also has its new Fairmont Deli (Raffles Deli), which serves coffee, pasties and deli sandwiches.
CENTRAL LOCATION
The hotel is 20 minutes from Fuhlsbüttel Airport and five minutes from the main train station. The nearest U-Bahn underground station is within two minutes walk, ideally placed for business customers and tourists. The hotel is situated in the heart of the retail and commercial district and is within walking distance of the Hamburg State Opera, the fairground and the congress centre.
HOTEL FACILITIES
Guest rooms feature air conditioning and free internet access. Wi-Fi is available across the hotel. All rooms have a refreshment centre, an in-room safe and state-of-the-art LCD television and video on demand.
There are telephones in all of the bathrooms and all windows and doors are sound proofed. Some of the speciality rooms have jacuzzis and balconies.
The hotel features five rooms for conferences and meetings (able to host up to 400 people). Each of these connects to an adjoining private room which can be set up for breaks and receptions.
The meeting rooms offer high-speed internet access, advanced sound systems, teleconferencing equipment and screens.
The hotel spa offers massage services, solarium, cardio and strength equipment, saunas, steam baths and wellness treatments.
HOTEL SUITES AND SPECIALTY ROOMS
Courtyard Suites are 65m² to 80m² one bedroom suites with separate living and sleeping areas. The living area includes a sofa and two armchairs as well as a desk. There is a large walk-in closet and spacious four-piece marble bathroom.
The 40m² Deluxe Junior Suites have a combined living and sleeping area.
The 50m² to 56m² Lakeview Junior Suites offer an excellent view of Lake Alster.
The 75m² Lakeview Signature Suite offers a lake view and larger accommodation space.
The 80m² Lakeview suites are designed in an alcove style with a separate living and sleeping areas as well as a large bathroom.
The Large Lakeview Suites are 90m² to 95m² and have a separate living and sleeping area.
Finally the 260m² Senator Suite is spread across the fourth floor of the hotel and consists of one bedroom, a lounge and the Alster Salon. The Alster Salon is not only an exclusive private dining room but also a fully equipped boardroom for up to 12 guests. The Suite contains two BOSE stereo systems, a DVD player with satellite TV, two flat screens TVs, a multimedia PC with infrared keyboard and four laptop connections for video conferencing. The suite may also be joined with three additional guestrooms.
