Quadriga has today announced its plans to launch a 3D video on-demand solution specifically designed for the hospitality sector which will be provided through Quadriga’s guest communication and entertainment solution, Sensiq. Working in partnership with world-renowned TV manufacturer Samsung Electronics, Quadriga will deliver a 3D in-room experience that enables guests to watch selected 3D content on-demand. A joint solution from LG will follow shortly.

Roger Taylor, CEO of Quadriga, explains: “3D provides a great opportunity for hotels to be able to create an impressive differentiator against their competitors. The move to 3D is an exciting technology leap forward in the TV space and for a relatively small incremental investment hotels can offer 3D to guests in premium rooms for example, allowing them to experience 3D ahead of it being widely viewed in the home environment.”

3D technology is an emerging technology and Quadriga, with its unique knowledge of the hotel sector and partnerships with TV manufacturers, is able to deliver an effective and workable solution for the hospitality market. Quadriga understands the practical implications of this new technology for the hotelier and is working closely with its customers to enable a 3D option for their guests.

This understanding has been a key driver for Samsung. Pammi Mudhar, senior director, B2B sales and marketing, Samsung Electronics Europe, comments: “As a significant development in entertainment 3D will drive greater expectations in the hospitality market. Working with Quadriga, as a knowledgeable and trusted partner to hoteliers will enable us to reach this sector with a solution that is both relevant and practical within the hotel environment.”

Shawn UT Kim, head of B2B operation europe at LG, comments: “Providing 3D technology choice for hotels is an important factor in working with Quadriga – we want to enable customers to select a 3D solution which best meets both their guest and business needs.”

As part of a wider 3D offering Quadriga also offers Philips Cinema 21:9 TV which brings a 3D cinematic viewing experience to in-room entertainment, with a 58in 3D LED in a 21:9 format.

Quadriga will demonstrate their 3D capability at their head office near Reading.
