Quadriga has announced its entry into the Indian hospitality market with the appointment of global business consultancy MSR IT Solution (MSR) as its exclusive distributor. This new distribution agreement signifies Quadriga’s commitment to its stated geographical expansion strategy, expanding into new territories to meet the needs of its global customers.

Having previously worked with MSR to develop its Genesis and Sensiq technology, this agreement will provide a platform for Quadriga to launch its flagship guest communications solution, Sensiq, into the Indian market. This will be followed by additional products including its SmoovieTV platform and a range of new internet services.

MSR has recently deployed its first Sensiq installation at The Park, Visakhapatnam, part of The Park Hotels by Apeejay Surrendra Group. Sensiq is installed in the hotel’s 66 luxury rooms offering guests an unrivalled choice of entertainment and information content as well as both wired and wireless access to the internet. Via Sensiq the hotel can provide information about the resort and the local area, its loyalty scheme, ‘Preferred at the Park’, and the latest hotel promotions and incentives. These promotional capabilities enable the hotel to develop new revenue opportunities in line with its business objectives and the customised user interface ensures that the hotel can promote its exclusive brand directly to guests in their room via the TV.

According to Ajit Sigh Garcha, executive manager of The Park, Visakhapatnam, "The vast selection of HD quality movies, TV channels and world radio stations, available in a wide range of languages, makes it a delight for our leisure guests. The availability of wired and wireless internet access and the most attractive Internet on TV options makes Sensiq a worthy solution for our corporate guests."

Roger Taylor, CEO of Quadriga explains: "It is predicted that India will receive 25 million tourists by 2015¹, potentially making the Indian hospitality market the number one tourist destination in the world with demand growing at 10.1% per annum². The influx of tourists to India highlights the importance of the region to our global account customers and we are delighted to be working with MSR, with their invaluable local knowledge and experience. We are also delighted to be able to announce the first Sensiq installation in India, at The Park, Visakhapatnam. This is an important step for Quadriga as we expand our global footprint into Asia, following our recent entry into the Americas."

Kallol Ghosh, director of hospitality services at MSR, adds: "By further developing our relationship with Quadriga, we can now offer the Indian hospitality market a greater range of IT and technology solutions that will enable our customers to differentiate their offer, to enhance guest satisfaction and to develop new potential revenue streams. Quadriga’s Sensiq provides our hotel customers with a real opportunity to differentiate, to deliver an enriched guest experience and to open up new commercial opportunities."
