Quadriga announced on 20 April 2012 that it has created a new specialist business unit called QNetworks, designed to respond to the growing technology and operational challenges facing hotels as they transition their networks to achieve greater efficiencies, build competitive advantages and meet demanding guest requirements.

This specialist team will act as the single partner for hotels to meet the evolving needs of both the hotel and guest network infrastructure, providing a single point of contact across Europe or globally, as required. QNetworks will provide a growing range of network management, consultancy and delivery services including: network monitoring and reporting, internet provisioning, bandwidth optimisation, Wi-Fi consultancy, TV network standards and convergence services.

According to Roger Taylor, Quadriga’s CEO: "Quadriga recognises that today the network sits at the heart of hotel operations and for the business to be successful it is critical that the network delivers unequalled guest service and hotel operational efficiency. We also recognise however that hotels face significant challenges including the efficient management and control of disparate networks and technologies serving multiple guest and business applications, as well as the cost implications of securing appropriately skilled technical resources. Increasing bandwidth demands on guest service levels and the exponential business risk created by new security legislation only enhances these challenges."

Through QNetworks, Quadriga is well placed to partner hotel customers in managing the evolution of disparate network technologies and helping them to quickly and easily integrate and converge new services or networks, creating a technology ecosystem that enables them to successfully anticipate and meet rapidly growing guest bandwidth expectations. With over ten years’ experience in managing hotel networks, Quadriga has the appropriate experience, network skills, expert resources and established industry partnerships in place to fully support a hotel’s network needs.

Roger Taylor concludes: "Our new QNetworks team is already working with hotel customers to ensure they get the most value from their existing network infrastructure, serving to reduce costs, maximise efficiencies and optimise guest service. With over 230,000 cat 5 and coax hotel rooms installed and proven Internet capabilities supporting 120,000 Wi-Fi/wired internet rooms, hotels can be confident that Quadriga is not only well placed to address their network challenges but can also help them to realise the significant potential presented by their network."
