Hoist Group in France and Canal+ Group are launching an on demand TV programmes package for both healthcare and hotel markets. It will provide the clients and patients who subscribe with the best of Canal+ programmes under the brand CANAL+ A LA DEMANDE.

This offering, accessible to CanalPro and Hoist Group customers in France, is a first in Europe. No other provider can offer such a rich content without using the internet bandwidth of the businesses concerned.

This innovative solution is the result of joint work between the R&D teams of Canal+, Hoist Group and Anevia, the leaders in software infrastructure creation for broadcasting live and ‘on-demand’ TV. Through this new offer, customers will be able to enjoy 15 hours of new content per week, in French and in the original language.

This content includes:

  • Series: at the same time as the US (in HD)
  • Programmes: the latest documentaries
  • Films: the biggest blockbusters (in HD)

Customers have access to Canal+ on demand service and contents directly from their TVs. Contents are immediately available, thanks to a ‘push’ and registering system installed on a computer server in the establishment.

The solution, tailor-made for hotel and hospital customers, will allow providers to offer premium entertainment in their rooms. Built on the Hoist Group interactive TV solution, no added investment is necessary for the establishment. Thanks to a result of more than ten years of research and development, the access to the content needed is quick and intuitive; the customer experience is similar to the one he has ‘at home.’

Antoine Trannoy, the managing director of Hoist Group France said: "We are proud of this close collaboration with Canal+ Group, initiated more than two years ago now. The closeness of our companies, both in terms of visions and geography allowed us to build this innovative and value added offer for our hotels customers and healthcare establishment managers. In addition, the Hoist Group selling teams, by proposing Canal+ live and ‘on demand’ to its clients and prospects, is now up to sell the most complete market offers, from the infrastructures to the premium content."
