Quadriga has announced that it is to expand its range of TV-based communication and entertainment solutions, to offer MyChoice via a new distribution agreement with leading TV manufacturer Philips. In line with its recently revealed growth strategy to support the needs of all hotels, MyChoice will enable Quadriga to further extend its offer to the budget hotel sector.

MyChoice is a pre-pay TV solution that enables guests to access an extended range of TV channels and at the same time allows the hotel to start driving a new revenue stream which can be used to recover the initial TV investment.

Featured as standard in the Philips EasySuite and PrimeSuite ranges, MyChoice allows guests to unlock the extended range of channels by purchasing a scratch card from reception and inputting access codes. Guests benefit from a wider choice of TV channels and for the hotel there are no additional costs apart from the initial purchase of the TVs and the MyChoice scratch cards.

Roger Taylor, CEO Quadriga, commented: "By incorporating MyChoice from Philips into our portfolio we are able to offer a simple and cost-effective way for more hotels to earn additional revenue from their Philips hotel TVs. This is achieved by renting to guests access to the TV or to additional TV channels, and it represents an ideal solution for hotels not wishing to invest in an integrated guest communications and entertainment platform. This supports our strategy of offering a range of solutions to serve the needs of the wider hospitality market and reflects our long-term partnership with Philips, a leading and established TV brand."

Mark Poldervaart, general manager at Phillips Hotel TV, said: "Research shows that hotel guests highly appreciate the availability of channels such as premium sports, good movie channels and TV channels from their home countries. MyChoice is designed for hotels to earn back the cost of installing guest TVs by offering guests access to such channels. Working in partnership with Quadriga, with their scale, experience and expertise, we are able to now bring these benefits to the wider hospitality sector."
