Philips and Accor today announced the extension of their global TV supply partnership for three years. Philips has supplied its dedicated range of hotel TVs to Accor’s around the world since 2006, enabling its guests to enjoy a great viewing experience. The value of the agreement, which begins in January 2011, was not disclosed.
“We focus our innovation on creating the very best picture and sound experience, and this agreement reinforces our leadership in TV – today, and for the future,” said Robert Smits, general manager television, Philips Consumer Lifestyle. “We’re also at the forefront of delivering energy-efficient TVs, enabling customers such as Accor to make significant savings over each TV’s lifetime.”
The world’s leading hotel operator and market leader in Europe, Accor operates 4,100 hotels in 90 countries through its complementary brands from luxury to budget: Sofitel, Pullman, Novotel, Suite Novotel, Mercure, Adagio, ibis, all seasons, Etap hotel, Formule 1, hotelF1, Motel6, as well as Thalassa sea & spa and Lenôtre.
“Across our portfolio of hotels we want to make it easy for our guests to bring their own content and enjoy it in their rooms, as well as to find their favourite TV channels away from home. Philips’ TVs deliver on these needs,” said Christophe Causero, technology procurement director, Accor. “By providing a comprehensive service designed around our needs, Philips enables us to focus on our guests.”
Philips recently introduced a new range of TVs to the hospitality industry, bringing the in-home cinematic viewing experience to business and leisure travellers. It incorporates three ranges of hotel TVs, including the EasySuite range, the PrimeSuite range and the Signature range. With the new range of TVs, Philips offers the widest selection of LED TVs available for the hotel industry today in all screen sizes, with groundbreaking features, and includes the world’s first full HD 3D TV for hotels.
The new range offers a variety of new benefits, ranging from advancements in sustainability as well as full service packages that include extended warranties and rental offerings. In addition to its range of TVs, Philips supplies a wide range of lighting and consumer lifestyle appliances to the hotel industry.
