Notably, environmental sustainability was one of the most frequently referenced themes in Q3 2022, ranking highest in terms of mentions, ahead of batteries and mobile, according to GlobalData’s whitepaper on Environmental Sustainability in Travel & Tourism – Filings Trends in Q3 2022.

Of the 50 leading companies in the travel & tourism industry, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone had the greatest increase in references for environmental sustainability in Q3 2022, compared with the previous quarter. GlobalData identified 534 environmental sustainability-related sentences in the company's filings - 218% of all sentences - and an increase of 1953% in Q3 2022 compared with Q2 2022. Singapore Airlines’s mentions of environmental sustainability rose by 100% to 304 and A.P. Moller - Maersk’s by 2092% to 285.
