US-based company Booking Holdings IT hiring rose 29.4% in August 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 15.44% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 28.24% share in the company’s total hiring activity in August 2021, and recorded a 3.78% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Booking Holdings IT hiring in August 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Booking Holdings, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 62.18% in August 2021, and an 111.43% rise over July 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 18.49% in August 2021, and registered growth of 100%. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 8.4% in August 2021, a flat growth from July 2021.
North America drives IT hiring at Booking Holdings
North America emerged as the leading region in the global travel & tourism IT hiring activity in August 2021 with a 48.74% share, which marked a 123.08% rise over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 42.02%, registering a 233.33% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 9.24% share and a 26.67% drop over July 2021.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 36.97% share in August 2021, a 69.23% growth over July 2021. India featured next with a 22.69% share, up 1250% over the previous month. Thailand recorded a 17.65% share, an increase of 110% compared with July 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead Booking Holdings IT hiring activity in August 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 79.83%, up by 156.76% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with a 10.08% share, a growth of 200% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 9.24% share, down 26.67% over July 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.84%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
