Denmark-based company DSV Panalpina’s IT hiring rose 6.6% in August 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 6.23% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 6.87% share in the company’s total hiring activity in August 2021, and recorded a 0.01% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops DSV Panalpina IT hiring in August 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by DSV Panalpina, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 58% in August 2021, and a 4.92% drop over July 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 36% in August 2021, and registered growth of 50%. Computer Support Specialists held a share of 3% in August 2021, a flat growth from July 2021.
Europe drives IT hiring at DSV Panalpina
Europe emerged as the leading region in the global travel & tourism IT hiring activity in August 2021 with a 67% share, which marked an 11.67% rise over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 19%, registering a 26.67% month-on-month growth. North America was the third leading region with a 13% share and a 44.44% rise over July 2021.
In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 1% and a month-on-month decline of 80%.
Poland commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 34% share in August 2021, a 9.68% growth over July 2021. Netherlands featured next with a 16% share, down 15.79% over the previous month. US recorded an 11% share, an increase of 37.5% compared with July 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead DSV Panalpina IT hiring activity in August 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 66%, up by 22.22% from July 2021. Entry Level positions with an 18% share, a decline of 18.18% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 16% share, up 23.08% over July 2021.
