Food Preparation and Serving Related Occupations drive travel and tourism hiring activity
Of the industry's total hiring activity, the highest number of new job postings were for Food Preparation and Serving Related Occupations, which accounted for 18% of the total new job postings in Q1 2023 and were up by 69% year-on-year. Second highest were Management Occupations, which accounted for 15% and rise by 63% year-on-year, and third highest were Office and Administrative Support Occupations, which were 22% of the new job postings and 78% higher year-on-year.
Top five companies in travel and tourism accounted for 64% of hiring activity
The highest number of jobs were posted by Accor with 1,505, followed by Marriott International with 919, while the highest increase was at Qantas Airways at 3%.
