LVMH acquires Hotel Saint-Barth Isle de France
LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton has purchased Hotel Saint-Barth Isle de France from the majority owner Adventurous Journeys Capital Partners and others for an undisclosed amount.
Located on St. Barthélemy Island in the French West Indies, the five-star Hotel Saint-Barth Isle features 39 rooms, suites and villas, including a Beach Room, Beach Junior Suite, Garden Bungalow, Garden Room and Fisherman’s Cottage.
Other amenities at the hotel include the Isle de France Spa, gymnasium, a freshwater pool and a fitness centre with boutique, beach front pool with a bar and other services.
Mayflower Inn and Spa, White Barn Inn join Grace family
Grace Hotels has partnered with an affiliate of Three Wall Capital to acquire Mayflower Inn and Spa in Washington, Connecticut.
In a separate development, the international boutique hotel group’s sister hotel, The White Barn Inn in Kennebunk, Maine, will become part of Grace Hotels.

Starwood adds Palaceio del Inka hotel to Luxury Collection portfolio
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has added a new hotel, Palacio del Inka, in Cusco, Peru, to its Luxury Collection brand portfolio.
Owned by Libertador Hotels, Reports & Spas, the hotel recently underwent a $15m renovation to open as Palacio del Inka, a Luxury Collection Hotel, in Cusco.
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Americas co-president Osvaldo Librizzi said: "The Luxury Collection brand portfolio continues to grow in the region, where we now have 11 hotels, from Argentina to Mexico."
Carlson Rezidor to open 13 new Radisson hotels in India
Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, which runs the Radisson hotel brand, among others, is gearing up to open 13 new Radisson hotels in India in the next year.
The hotel management and franchise company currently has 63 projects in India and an additional 44 under development.
In a separate development, Radisson has announced further expansion in Atlanta with the Radisson Hotel Atlanta Northwest, Marietta in Georgia, US.
Marriott to sell three EDITION hotels for $800m
Marriott International, the largest publicly traded US hotel chain, has signed a non-binding letter of intent to sell three EDITION hotels for about $800m.
The three properties, located in London, Miami Beach and Manhattan, are currently under construction.
The price is almost equivalent to the hotel chain’s expected total acquisition and development cost. The deal does not include the residential component of the Miami Beach EDITION.
Marriott will retain ownership of the residential units pending their sale to individual purchasers, according to a statement by the hotel chain.
Ellicott deploys EcoSmart energy management solution at New York hotels
Ellicott Development, a US-based property management, leasing and development firm, has deployed Telkonet’s EcoSmart energy management technology solution at three of its six hotels in New York.
The technology has been installed at the 82-room Country Inn & Suites in West Seneca, and the 120-room Wyndham Garden Hotel & Suites and 105-room Staybridge Suites located in Amherst, New York.
Telkonet’s partner Green Lodging Energy will provide post-installation service and support for the Ellicott-owned hotels.
Wyndham debuts Ramada brand in Uzbekistan
Wyndham Hotel Group, part of the Wyndham Worldwide family of companies, has debuted in Uzbekistan with the newly opened, 120-room Ramada Tashkent.
Owned by Sunshine Turon International, the five-star hotel is situated close to Tashkent’s business district and minutes from famed farmer’s market Chorsu Bazaar. The opening forms part of the group’s aggressive global expansion as it continues to grow the full-service Ramada hotel chain.
Wyndham expanded the brand’s presence in China with eight new properties that are slated to open in the cities of Linyi, Liuzhou, Changzhou, Changsha, Suzhou, Wuyishan and Xishuangbanna in the next two years.
IHG to open EVEN Hotels in Maryland, Connecticut
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) is set to open the first two hotels of its new EVEN Hotels brand at 1775 Rockville Pike in Rockville, Maryland, and at 426 Main Avenue in Norwalk, Connecticut, in early 2014.
The two EVEN Hotels properties are located in major feeder markets for Washington DC and New York city, and continue the development momentum for the wellness brand.
The 91,222ft² EVEN hotel in Rockville will feature 167 guest rooms and seven guestroom floors, while the Norwalk property will feature 129 guest rooms and four floors.
