On the second floor, the properties will have a space called The Common for guests to work and relax, and a technology-enabled bookable meeting room known as The Study.

Additionally, the brand’s properties will feature a wet bar, coffeemaker and bar sink, a pull-out sofa work area, an oversized vanity in the bathroom and more.

IHG avid hotels and Atwell Suites vice-president Karen Gilbride said: “We created Atwell Suites as a result of continuous collaboration and dialogue with an enthusiastic advisory board comprised of IHG owners to offer travellers something truly different in the upper-midscale space.

“The all-suites segment is fast growing and remains very resilient with strong owner interest throughout 2020.

“We congratulate Sunview Companies, and our other owners who have been among the first to sign on to develop an Atwell Suites hotel.

“We’re excited to continue the momentum of this brand and look forward to welcoming our first guests next year.”

IHG noted that 20 Atwell Suites properties are currently in planning and development stage in the US.

The company expects to start construction on more properties in the next few months.
