The 23-storey DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai M Square Hotel & Residences in the UAE has started accepting guests.

Boasting of 327 rooms and suites, the ultramodern hotel, which is built by the AW Rostamani Group, also provides 131 serviced residences, reported Tophotel.news.

The ribbon cutting for the hotel was held on the UAE’s 49th national day.

The opening ceremony was attended by president for Hilton in the Middle East, Africa and Turkey, Jochem-Jan Sleiffer; senior vice-president of operations for Hilton on the Arabian Peninsula and in Turkey, William Costley; and the owners of AW Rostamani Group, Khalid Al Rostamani and Dr Amina Rostmani.

Sleiffer was quoted by the website as saying: “We are delighted to have opened the DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai M Square Hotel & Residences on UAE National Day, paying homage to the great leadership of the UAE and to Dubai, one of the world’s leading tourism and business destinations.

“This property will no doubt be a landmark in the heart of the city, bridging history with modernity and providing travellers with a memorable DoubleTree by Hilton experience. We thank AW Rostamani Group for their invaluable partnership and the hotel’s team members for their extraordinary work bringing the warm DoubleTree by Hilton spirit to life in this remarkable new property.”

DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai M Square Hotel & Residences general manager Serpil Guney added: “Congratulations to our team at the DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai M Square Hotel & Residences who have worked tirelessly to ensure guests receive a warm welcome.”

The highlight of the hotel is the mural of Sheikh Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, which was commissioned by London-based Giles Miller Studio. Spanning 15 metres and made of over 29,000 reflective discs, the piece of artwork took three weeks to be completed, with all the discs carefully assembled onto a specially engineered backing structure.

DoubleTree Dubai has three distinctive dining venues in the form of Larte Italian restaurant, The Spice Tea, and the SunGlo Rooftop Lounge.

Located adjacent to Burjuman Shopping Mall, which has its own metro station, DoubleTree’s guests can get a view of Dubai’s ‘Big Five’—namely, Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab, The Museum of the Future, Dubai Frame, and Dubai Eye.

Dubai also saw the launch of The Aparthotel Adagio Dubai Deira, an apartment type hotel that will cater to longer staying visitors to the city, in a bid to offer them a ‘home away from home’.
