Hill International has been contracted to provide project management services for Anantara Resort hotel at Mina Al Arab in the UAE’s northernmost emirate Ras Al Khaimah.
The contract has been awarded by UAE’s RAK Properties and its value is not disclosed.
It will see Hill team bring their best practices to manage and support the construction of the hotel.
The five-star hotel is targeted towards customers seeking to enjoy overwater luxury on the Arabian Gulf in a new eco-sanctuary.
RAK Properties acting chief executive officer Mohammed Al Tair said: “The hospitality outlook is very promising, and we closely monitor such opportunities, the sector is one of our prime focuses, hence we continue to develop and evolve our hospitality portfolio.
“The emirate of Ras Al Khaimah tourism sector showed resilience and strength during the Covid-19 pandemic.
“The 174-key Anantara Mina Al Arab will add visibility to the location of $2.72bn (AED10bn). This iconic global brand is expected to attract a large number of international as well as domestic tourists.”
Anantara Mina Al Arab Resort hotel will occupy an area of 71,000m2 and provide 174 rooms, spa and fitness centre, and landscaped grounds and outdoor facilities.
It will feature custom guest rooms, suites, water villas, and a presidential suite.
Furthermore, the hotel will also provide a range of food and beverage options, and meeting and event spaces.
Construction of the hotel is slated to complete by late 2022.
