Hospitality firm Hyatt Hotels has announced the opening of a new hotel, Hyatt Place Harrisonburg, in Harrisonburg, Virginia, US.

Developed by real estate firm Harman Realty, Hyatt Place Harrisonburg is managed by Olympia Hotel Management.

The hotel features 119 guestrooms and suites, 1,977ft2 meeting space, a 24/7 fitness centre, an indoor heated pool, parking equipped with EV charging stations and free WiFi.

The dining venues in the hotel include Ridge Room Rooftop Tavern, which offers regionally sourced food and drinks; The Breakfast Bar that provides breakfast for guests; and The Placery that serves both lunch and dinner and has a full bar.

Hyatt Place Harrisonburg is located close to Harrisonburg Crossing and the James Madison University (JMU) campus.

Besides the latest property, Olympia also manages four Hyatt-branded properties – Hyatt Place Chicago-South University Medical Centre, Hyatt House Mount Pleasant-Midtown in South Carolina, Hyatt House Tallahassee Capitol – University in Florida and Hyatt Place Cleveland/Westlake/Crocker Park in Ohio.

Hyatt Place, a mid-tier brand of Hyatt Hotels, has more than 395 hotels across the globe.

In October, Hyatt Place brand opened Hyatt Place Jingdezhen Taoxichuan, a 152-room upscale hotel in downtown Jingdezhen.
