InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has signed a management agreement with K. W. Group for the Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express brands to be opened at Phuket’s Kata Beach in Thailand.

Anticipated to open in 2022, the two hotels will serve as new addition to The Beach Plaza Phuket mixed-use development located just five minutes from the sea.

The 134-room Holiday Inn Phuket Kata Beach will offer a plethora of dining options, meeting facilities and recreational facilities including swimming pool and gym.

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Phuket Kata Beach will have 135 rooms and feature the brand’s signature Great Room.

IHG South East Asia & Korea development vice-president Serena Lim said: “It’s fantastic to continue the expansion of our Holiday Inn brand family in Thailand with the addition of these two new properties, and especially to partner with K W Group who have decades of hospitality experience in Phuket.
