Multinational hospitality company InterContinental Hotels & Resorts (IHG) has opened a new luxury hotel in Barcelona, Spain.

Located in the centre of the Montjuïc district, InterContinental Barcelona has 273 rooms comprising of 180m2 Presidential Suite, as well as 17 Junior Suites.

Dining venues at the hotel include Quirat, the hotel’s main restaurant serving locally sourced quality ingredients, Arrel, InterContinental Barcelona’s second restaurant and Gebre Cocktail and More bar that serves a selection of classic and signature cocktails.

The Boira Coffee Lounge offers guest a space for relaxation and the 173 Rooftop Terrace providing 360° views over the whole of Barcelona.

InterContinental Barcelona also offers 1,200m2 spa with wet area featuring hydrotherapy pool, steam bath, sauna, a hammam, jets and water beds, as well as six treatments rooms, including two doubles.

InterContinental Barcelona general manager Enrique Escofet said: “InterContinental Hotels & Resorts has been pioneering luxury travel in new destinations and established, upmarket locations for 75 years.

Currently, IHG has 205 hotels operational. It is set to open more than 70 properties in the coming years.
