Lemon Tree Hotels has signed a license agreement with Bhangeri Durbar Resort for a 51-room hotel in Nepal.

The property, named Bhangeri Durbar Resort, will be operated by Carnation Hotels, the subsidiary and management unit of Lemon Tree.

To be located at Nagarkot, the hotel is slated to open by early next year.

Lemon Tree Hotels deputy managing director and Carnation Hotels director Rattan Keswani was quoted by Press Trust of India as saying: “We are delighted to expand our reach in Nepal with this stunning resort. It is our second signing for a hotel in the country, which we feel holds immense business and tourism potential.”

The latest property will add to Lemon Tree’s list of hotels internationally, which consists of a hotel in Dubai and upcoming hotels in Thimphu of Bhutan and Kathmandu of Nepal.

Spread over four acres, the hotel will feature a multi-cuisine restaurant, a bar, banquet spaces, a swimming pool, a spa, and a terrace deck.

Last month, Lemon Tree Hotels opened a hotel at Rishikesh, in the Indian state of Uttarakhand.

The hotel, which features 65 guestrooms and suites, is located 30 minutes from Jolly Grant Airport of Dehradun.

Intended for the modern traveller, the rooms offer scenic views of the riverside, and the foothills.

It features multi-cuisine coffee shop, called Citrus café; dining area, Citrus Patio; and a banquet hall, Tangerine Grand; and a conference room, Tangerine.
