Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has signed an agreement with the Al Khozama Company to assume the management of the Al Faisaliah Hotel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

As agreed, the company will take over the management of the hotel in the first quarter of next year.

Currently, the Al Faisaliah Hotel’s guestrooms and public area are undergoing a complete overhaul.

The renovation programme is slated to complete at the end of next year, following which, the property will be rebranded as Mandarin Oriental Al Faisaliah, Riyadh.

Al Khozama CEO Khalid Abuhaimed said: “The Al Faisaliah Hotel has been a leading light in Saudi Arabia’s hospitality sector since opening its doors 20 years ago.

“We are pleased to be partnering with Mandarin Oriental to further develop the hotel and to create the most luxurious and sophisticated property in the region.”

Located in the middle of the Central Business District of Riyadh, the Al Faisaliah Hotel features 321 guestrooms and suites.

The refurbished hotel will feature new interiors designed by Adam Tihany Design, New York.

The facilities at the property include restaurants, lounges and bars, function spaces for social events and business meetings.

It also includes an indoor swimming pool, male and female spa areas and a fitness centre among others.
