InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) is pushing growth in Latin America with the launch of the Holiday Inn Express Rio Branco in Brazil.
Situated a close distance from the Rio Branco-Plácido de Castro International Airport, the hotel is owned by Inter Oceanica Hotelaria. It is located in the city’s downtown area and also offers access through the Transoceanica Highway and two key Peruvian ports.
IHG Mexico, Latin America and Caribbean distribution commercial marketing vice president Gerardo Murray said: "It is very exciting to expand the Holiday Inn Express brand in new markets in Brazil, not only because we have a long and successful history here, but because the brand is ideal for meeting the needs of the country’s growing business and leisure travel markets, both local and international."
The nine-storey hotel has 110 rooms, four meeting rooms, an outdoor pool and a bar and breakfast bar as well as business and fitness centres.
All the guest rooms at the property feature a 32in HD flatscreen TV, queen or king-sized beds, a sitting area with a lounge chair and an in-room coffee machine featuring Smart Roast 100% Arabica coffee. Amenities also include SimplySmart showers with Stay Smart Kohler showerheasd, signature shower curtains with a curved rod, cotton terry towels and Bath & Body Works White Citrus bath products.
The property is part of Holiday Inn’s plan to re-launch the brand with a $1bn investment, expected to help it offer better quality and consistency across the global portfolio.
