Hyatt Hotels Corporation and Summit Hospitality Group have opened the first Hyatt-branded hotel in the Raleigh area of North Carolina, US.
The Hyatt Place Durham / Southpoint is located adjacent to The Streets at Southpoint, the region’s premier shopping destination, and is in close proximity to Research Triangle Park and Raleigh-Durham International Airport.
Hyatt Place Durham / Southpoint has 164 rooms, all of which feature a 42in HDTV, the Hyatt Grand Bed, a Cozy Corner sectional sofa, free Wi-Fi and a complimentary a.m. Kitchen Skillet breakfast for guests.
The property also features 2,100ft² of high-tech meeting / function space, a 24/7 Gallery Menu serving made-to-order entrees and appetisers around the clock, and a Coffee to Cocktails Bar featuring coffee, beer, wine and cocktails.
Hyatt Place Durham / Southpoint general manager Roberta Wittes said: "Hyatt Place Durham / Southpoint is located in a very desirable area, and we’re looking forward to creating a positive travel experience for each and every guest that walks through our doors.
"Hyatt Place was designed for a lifestyle, not a demographic, and as a result, we are confident that everyone from business travellers to beach-goers will appreciate the open, intuitive design, casual atmosphere and practical amenities, such as free Wi-Fi and 24hr food offerings."
