International hospitality group sbe is working with Lamb Development and IE Hospitality to develop a new 75,000 square foot hotel project in Toronto, Canada.
Set to debut in 2024, the proposed 146-room Hudson Toronto hotel represents the latest addition to sbe’s The House of Originals hotel collection.
The hotel will be surrounded by entertainment venues and feature an array of sbe’s culinary and nightlife experiences, including a rooftop restaurant, a three-meal signature restaurant, bar and café, among other features.
sbe founder and CEO Sam Nazarian said: “This marks the beginning of the Hudson brand’s global expansion and continuation of its innovation and well-known fame.
“We couldn’t be prouder to work with Lamb Development Corp and IE Hospitality, the most respected and well-known industry leaders, on this project and appreciate the trust they’ve put in sbe to bring one of the hospitality world’s true originals to Toronto.”
The design team for the Hudson Toronto hotel, which will be located in the heart of Toronto’s King West community, features architect Peter Clewes from architects Alliance.
Canada’s design studio DesignAgency will be responsible for the interior design of the new hotel. It will use unique narratives to create special interior environments.
The Hudson Toronto hotel forms an integral part of sbe’s expansion plan across all of its hotel brands globally.
sbe’s other House of Originals properties include the Sanderson and St. Martins Lane in London, 10 Karaköy in Istanbul, and the Shore Club in Miami Beach.
The project is subject to municipal approvals and hearings are scheduled for next year.
