Wyndham Hotels and Resorts has converted two hotels in Japan to its Wyndham Grand and Wyndham Garden brands, further bolstering its presence in the country.

The two new locations are Wyndham Grand Awashima and Wyndham Garden Nagaizumi hotels.

Comprising 60 rooms, Wyndham Grand Awashima is a Mediterranean-style resort hotel situated on Awashima island. The hotel also includes an outdoor onsen, a concert hall and restaurants offering wide range of dining options.

On the other hand, Wyndham Garden Nagaizumi features 95 suites with kitchenettes. The rooms are designed in traditional Japanese or contemporary styles.

According to the company, Wyndham is the first global hotel company to establish its presence in the emerging tourist destinations of Awashima and Nagaizumi.

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Asia Pacific president Joon Aun Ooi said: “These newest openings are indicative of the long-term potential we see in Japan and reinforce Wyndham’s continued commitment to bringing our globally recognised brands to key markets around the world.
