Marriott to Expand Indian Properties to 100 by 2015

Marriott International plans to increase the number of its hotels in India to 100 within the next five years. Building on its current Indian portfolio of 11 properties, the US hotel group will add eight hotels over the next three years, including two in Mumbai and one each in Bhopal,

Building on its current Indian portfolio of 11 properties, the US hotel group will add eight hotels over the next three years, including two in Mumbai and one each in Bhopal, Kochi, Nashik, Hyderabad, Jaipur and Raipur.

With 23 hotels under construction, the hotel group plans to have 41 hotels in India by 2013, creating 8,000 new jobs.

Marriott International will also introduce its Ritz-Carlton and moderate-tier Fairfield brand in India.
