Pinnacle Entertainment is to delay the opening of the $357m Baton Rouge casino hotel in Louisiana, US, to 2012 instead of the original planned date of December 2011.

The company said the delay is due to the non-delivery of three completed casino hulls, which would form the property, from Bollinger Shipyards in southern Louisiana due to low water levels preventing transport along the Mississippi River.

The single-level casino hotel will feature 206 guestrooms, 9,144m² of gaming floor, a rooftop pool, three dining outlets and a bar.

The property also features a multipurpose event centre and an outdoor festival area.
