Hilton to Boost Russian Hotel Portfolio by 2018 World Cup

Hilton Worldwide is to add nine new hotels in Russia before the 2018 World Cup.

The hotels include the 175-room Hampton by Hilton Omsk, which is expected to open in 2013 and will feature 40m² of meeting space, a business centre and a gym.

The new openings also include the 214-room Hampton by Hilton Moscow Strogino, which is scheduled to open in 2014, and the 162-room Garden Inn Moscow New Riga, which will open in 2012.

The hotel group will launch the Hilton Garden Inn Astrakhan in 2012, which will feature a 6,000-seat sports and events centre and 320m² of meeting space.

Hilton Garden Inn Krasnodar, which is scheduled to open in 2012, will feature 163 rooms and 142m² of meeting space.

The other hotels include Doubletree in Perm and Sochi-Adler, Garden Inn Samara and Garden Inn Ulyanovsk, which will open in 2012.

Hilton has 16 hotels that have recently opened or are under development in Russia.
