The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority is considering a plan to invest $1.8bn in expanding the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center in Boston, Massachusetts, US.
The project includes the construction of a $680m hotel adjacent to the convention centre and a $1bn expansion of the centre’s convention and function space.
The proposed hotel will have 1,000 rooms.
Financing options being considered for the hotel include a public-private partnership and a request for state financing.
