Aruba to Embark on $70m Renovation Projects

The Aruba Hotel and Tourism Association is to invest $70m in renovating hotels on the Caribbean island. The projects include a $30m refurbishment of the 355-room Radisson Aruba Resort and the total renovation of its casino by September 2011. The La Cabana Beach and Racquet C

The Aruba Hotel and Tourism Association is to invest $70m in renovating hotels on the Caribbean island.

The projects include a $30m refurbishment of the 355-room Radisson Aruba Resort and the total renovation of its casino by September 2011.

The La Cabana Beach and Racquet Club will invest $10m this year in renovating 72 of its 449 rooms.

Marriott Surf Club will spend $6m on the complete refurbishment of its 144 two-bedroom villas at the Compass Tower in October 2011.

Hyatt Hotel will invest $5m on upgrading different areas of its property and Marriott will spend $1.5m on the addition of a new pool.

Renovation of the Divi Village and Golf Resort will require an investment of $4m. Divi will also spend $6m on renovating the Alhambra Casino, as well as the addition of a shopping mall with new stores and restaurants.
