W Hotels to Expand Mexico City Portfolio

W Hotels Worldwide has announced that it will expand its presence in Mexico City with the opening of its second hotel in the Santa Fe district.

W Santa Fe, which will offer views of the Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl volcanoes, will be managed by ALHEL and GIM Desarrollos.

The hotel is part of a new build, mixed-use development, called Liberty Plaza, designed by Richard Meier, Edmonds International and Krause Sawye and scheduled to open in 2014.

The hotel will feature 132 rooms, bars and restaurants, pool deck with outdoor bar, 371m² with nine treatment rooms, fitness facility, and 724m² meeting and event space.
