Marriott to Operate Three Hotels in Saudi Arabia

Marriott International has signed an agreement with Jabal Omar Development Company to operate three hotels in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The three properties include the 636-room JW Marriott Hotel Makkah, the 540-room Makkah Marriott Hotel and the 432-room Courtyard by Marriott Makkah.

The three properties include the 636-room JW Marriott Hotel Makkah, the 540-room Makkah Marriott Hotel and the 432-room Courtyard by Marriott Makkah.

All the hotels are scheduled to open in two phases beginning in 2014 and will form part of a multi-use development

The JW Marriott Hotel Makkah will feature duplex suites, more than 200 junior suites and over 400 standard king and double rooms, with five restaurants, lounges and a business centre.

The Makkah Marriott Hotel will offer a lobby lounge and 322m² of conference space including four individual meeting rooms, a business centre, casual and speciality restaurants, and retail space.

Around 50% of The Courtyard by Marriott Makkah’s guestrooms will interconnect to accommodate large families. The hotel will also feature a restaurant and a business centre.

Marriott International operates three hotels in Saudi Arabia and has five properties under development that are scheduled to open through 2014.
