Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide is set to expand its footprint in Saudi Arabia with the opening of two new hotels in the city of Medina.

The two properties will add more than 450 hotel rooms to the city and are scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2012.

The 297-room Sheraton Medina Hotel is Starwood’s fourth Sheraton hotel in the country.

The 178-room Four Points by Sheraton Medina will mark the debut of the brand in the country.

Both hotels will be owned by Saudi Brothers Commercial.

Starwood Hotels & Resorts operates ten hotels in Saudi Arabia, spread across Sheraton, Westin and Le Meridien brands.
