The Sheraton brand from Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide is to add seven hotels to its China portfolio by September 2011.
The seven properties will increase Sheraton’s China portfolio to 42 by the end of 2011.
The 491-room Sheraton Xian North City Hotel will be the second Sheraton in Xian and will offer 1,672 square metres of meeting facilities and three restaurants.
The 441-room Sheraton Beijing Dongcheng Hotel, which will be the second Sheraton in Beijing, will feature four restaurants and 2,322 square metres of meeting and function space.
Sheraton Zhenjiang Hotel will be the first Sheraton in Zhenjiang and will feature 289 guestrooms and suites, an indoor pool, a fitness centre, a spa, restaurants and 3,065 square metres of meeting facilities.
Sheraton Shenzhou Peninsula Resort will be the first Sheraton in the area, offering 307 rooms, 836 square metres of meeting space, a Shine Spa for Sheraton and a swimming pool.
Sheraton Hangzhou Wetland Park Resort will be the first Sheraton to open in Hangzhou and will offer 383 guestrooms, 1,114 square metres of meeting space, three restaurants and a spa.
The 445-room Sheraton Guangzhou Hotel will be located in the heart of Guangzhou’s Tianhe central business district and will be part of Tee Mall, the city’s major commercial and shopping complex.
The Sheraton Guangzhou Huadu Resort will open in Beixin Town in the north-eastern part of Huadu in China’s Guangdong Province, and will feature more than 100 deluxe rooms, villas and suites.
Starwood plans to operate 100 hotels in China by the end of 2012.
