Hilton Worldwide has signed an agreement with Eros Group subsidiary Nehru Place Hotels to take over the management of its hotel in Delhi, India.
The hotel was rebranded ‘Eros Hotel – Managed by Hilton’, effective from 1 July 2011.
Nehru Place Hotels will undertake a Rs750m ($17m) renovation programme to upgrade the property’s guestrooms, restaurants, conference and banqueting facilities, and recreational areas.
After the upgrade, the hotel will be branded ‘Hilton’, according to Hilton Worldwide.
Hilton Worldwide president Asia Pacific Martin Rinck said the company now manages five hotels in three key cities in India, and plans to open another five properties in the country this year, which will more than double the company’s trading estate for 2011.
