Room rates in London, UK, increased year-on-year by 14.2% to £151.32 in June this year, according to PKF Hotel Consultancy Services.
Occupancy rose by 1.8% to 89.8%, driving a room yield increase of 16.2%.
For the first six months of the year, London’s room rates increased by 11.2%, occupancy rose by 0.3% to 80.5% and room yield was up by 11.5% compared with the same period last year.
According to PKF, June’s room rates for regional hotels rose year-on-year by 0.6%, occupancy increased by 5.4% to 78.8% and room yield was up 5.9%.
Manchester room rates rose by 8.5%, occupancy increased by 10.6% to 83.7% and room yield grew by 20%.
Edinburgh also had a strong month, with room rates increasing by 8.1%, occupancy up by 5.7% to 91.7% and room yield achieving 14.2% growth.
