Centara to manage Hotel Ceysands

Thailand-based Centara Hotels & Resorts is to manage the Hotel Ceysands in Bentota, Sri Lanka. The 84-room property, which is owned by Softlogic Holdings, will have 160 rooms when it is expanded and refurbished under a LKR900m ($8.18m) project next year and will be rebranded as Cent

Thailand-based Centara Hotels & Resorts is to manage the Hotel Ceysands in Bentota, Sri Lanka.

The 84-room property, which is owned by Softlogic Holdings, will have 160 rooms when it is expanded and refurbished under a LKR900m ($8.18m) project next year and will be rebranded as Centara Ceysands Resorts and Spa.

The hotel was initially owned by Sri Lanka’s troubled Ceylonco Group and was bought by Softlogic for LKR925m.

Centara Hotels & Resorts will also acquire the Giravaru Tourist Resort in the Maldives for approximately $50m.
