Parisian hotels made big profits in the first three months of this year, according to the HotStats research, conducted by TRI Hospitality Consulting. The research revealed that chain hotels in the French capital enjoyed a 28.7 % hike in profits.
However, the Russian capital of Moscow was almost twice as profitable, delivering revenue per available room of €128.09 compared with Paris at €65.52. Revpar in London was €105.03.
“The best revpar performance will not always deliver the best profits,” said David Bailey, director of TRI Hospitality Consulting.
Elsewhere, profits in Budapest halved during the first three months, year-on-year, dropping from €22.10 to €12.36.
